Toward Sovereign AI in One Health: Closing Data Gaps with Open Data Mesh Architecture
Building on the foundations of open data mesh, a standards-driven Data Mesh platform designed for sovereign and resource-limited ecosystems, this session explores how open, interoperable infrastructures are reshaping One Health data governance in Africa. Participants will see how regional and national initiatives like RePan, COHIS, and the Digital One Health Platform (DOHP) leverage machine-readable Data Contracts to enable trusted, real-time data sharing and analytics across human, animal, and environmental health domains—advancing data sovereignty, compliance, and AI-powered decision-making.
