Digital Health Week 2024: Opening Event – Fireside Chat
Digital Health Week is a global week of action that brings together politicians, civil society, the private sector and citizens to explore the opportunities and challenges of digital health. This week-long initiative aims to highlight the critical role of digital health in achieving Universal Health Coverage and produce learnings that can steer future discussion on the issue.
This year Digital Health Week was officially launched with a fireside chat between:
1. Mathilde Forslund, Executive Director for Transform Health
2. Dr Alain Labrique, Director, Department of Digital Health and Innovation at the World Health Organisation (WHO).
This conversation explored the role digital health can take in achieving SDG 3.8, the challenge of equity in digital health and what the future holds for digital health – including ways to address gaps and opportunities in the next five years.
