Project: Artificial Intelligence for Development in the Middle East and North Africa (AI4D-MENA)

The AI4D-MENA, led by the E-Sahha/ Digital Health Program at AUB GHI, aims to promote the scalability and sustainability of responsible AI innovations within the low- and middle-income countries in the region.
The project’s general objective is to enhance responsible AI-based digital health innovations to improve Sexual, Reproductive, and Maternal Health. Specific objectives include increasing the scalability of AI innovations, developing a shared understanding of responsible AI principles, strengthening researchers’ capacity, and fostering collaboration within the network of researchers in the region, while decolonizing digital health by addressing gender, diversity, and inclusion to ensure equitable access and outcomes for all.
