Youth Perspectives on Advancing Digital Citizenship for Health
Co-organized by Digital Transformations for Health Lab (DTH-Lab) and PLOS Digital Health, this Digital Health Week webinar will spotlight how youth-led digital citizenship for health is shaping equitable, participatory and democratic health futures.
This event showcases young authors (under 35) who contributed to the DTH-Lab √ó PLOS Digital Health call for contributions. Launched during health literacy month, this mini collection focuses on building a body of scientific research and amplifying diverse perspectives on the concept of digital citizenship for health and its application across different contexts. This initiative is part of a broader DTH-Lab √ó PLOS partnership designed to amplify youth participation in scientific publishing and champion their role as co-creators of knowledge and agents of digital transformation.
Through their contributions, these young authors explore what digital citizenship for health means to them and how current and future generations can become more empowered citizens and leaders in shaping equitable, inclusive, and democratic digital health futures.
Participants can look forward to two dynamic, youth-led panel discussions that bring research to life, exploring how young people are transforming evidence into action, strengthening civic participation, and shaping more inclusive and equitable health futures.
