Digital Health for UHC

This free webinar, open to the public, will provide a comprehensive overview of the initiatives of the Philippine Health Data Consortium (PHDC), beginning with an introduction of the company and a historical review of the Philippine’s digital health governance. The session will explore modern architectural frameworks, focusing on how OpenHIE and Digital Public Infrastructure (DPI) enable system interoperability. Participants will learn about real-world data logistics through the POLISEE initiative, which seamlessly integrates data from community levels to hospitals and back, alongside secure methods for channeling anonymized patient records into permanent research data trusts. Finally, the presentation will showcase practical innovation by highlighting key breakthroughs from Datathon 2023 event held at the De Lasalle University — Taft Manila, demonstrating how to incorporate emerging technologies into Universal Health Care (UHC) research, and explaining how to actively participate in the PHDC Community of Practice.
